The Way to Color This Page
Paint the Diplodocus in faded grays and greens or in sandy browns to make it appear real, and light shading along the sides to indicate contour. To make it more fantasy like, you may use blue colors or purple or other fantasy colors with gradient effects. Reflections can make the marsh water appear lighter in a mixture of deep green, brown and dull blue. The reeds and water plants are also olive, dark-green and moss colored with a little yellow or brown to give variety to nature. The mist is easily done by a very light usage of gray or white pencils to keep it soft so that it borders on the hazy effect. An atmosphere will be added by a pale, dull sky. Colored pencils blend the mist with water successfully, and fine-tip marker can specify the skin patterns of dinosaur and the minor plants in the marsh.
