Spring Coloring Pages: Coloring sheet of a boy and girl catching up frisbee in the park a full moving picture of smiles and outdoor sunshine.
This lighthearted moment shows two playmates in the middle of a game on a grassy field: the frisbee flies between the two children and one of them is reaching high in order to catch it, the other winds up on launching a throw. The background features a soft sky, a row of trees, wildflowers and clover on the field and some background picnic necessities or bench to complicate it a bit. The folds of clothing, laces in shoes, single hair strands and frisbee ridges all give clean detail to be effective to color. Lines of motion can be found every where and the lines in and around the disc itself and the feet of those kids indicate gestures of moving. There are minor extras present such as a cap, wristband or even a pair of patterned sneakers that allow one to make it unique. This page is simple enough and rich in the background as well, since open space acts as a comfortable gradient, and fine textures suitful to detail addicts.
The method of Coloring:
Put a soft sky gradient (very light blue at the horizon to darker blue higher up) and have the distant trees a little cooler and lighter to pull out the kids; use two -three greens on the grass with short upward strokes and then a deeper green under the feet to form cast shadows. Pick up versus high vis colors that are sporty (e.g. red/blue or teal/coral),… fold folds darker in creases, lighter on top of sleeves and knees; add a dose of scuffs on the sneakers with a cool gray. On skin, mix a medium tone and apply into slightly warmer areas of cheeks, nose, and elbows; put a light shadow at the underside of the chin and inside of hands. Use a bright color to paint the frisbee, and a thin lift of white around the rim to indicate gloss; add some richness of color where the ridges are located to add intentional curvature. Emphasize movement by doing a bit of shading a little in front of the disc and theみ a little ground-shadow where it may fall. Scatter little flower colors (yellow, pink, white) thinly across the grass to have life and not clutter. I would use markers on the flats (sky, shirts), colored pencils on the shading and hair texture and a white gel pen for final sparkles on the eyes, rim of the frisbees, and the tips of the shoelaces.
