: As he goat went lightheartedly and with nimble hoof up the wooden fence, his eyes shone mischief. It climbed up one hoof at a time; up the slats, it balanced expertly on top rail, looking out over the pasture. But the sound of that fence creaking beneath the goat's weight was not altogether unwelcome; as if that challenge of all challenges was just another adventure. It perched, proudly, finally, surveying its surroundings, like a little mountain goat, newly placed in the caravan.
